Ear tubes here we come!
We visited with the ENT today. Little bit has had about 5 ear infections since Oct.... needless to say that is a bit much.. past three ear infections they send you to a specialist it seems..
Both ears still have fluid in them after just coming off antibiotics on Friday from yet another ear infection.
So we can continue down the same path or we can put tubes in. What is the logical choice? Really no argument… So on Friday we will do the procedure.. We hope it is early since she cannot eat or drink anything beforehand.. try telling a 8 month old that you cannot have any food.. kind of hard to do ; )
I think we will be good as long as mommy gets some coffee beforehand.. just kidding.. all should be fine.. they say to be careful around baths and pools, etc.. but this doctors did not seem too worried unless we were getting her into a pool and submerging her head.. so until summer we might be fine.
It is still strange that they put her under general anesthesia. But it should be fast and hopefully no more antibiotics for awhile.. although she takes those like a champ now! I think she thinks it is dessert ; )
On another note.. she desperately wants to move.. so our days are her leaning forward to getting a toy and laying on her stomach.. early in her days she could roll over.. she seems to forgotten how to do this however.. so she complains and complains and complains.. until we pick her up of course. But she seems to be “scooting” as best she can.. she can atleast turn.. but then bails to her face once on all fours..
Well sleeping has been one of those things parents love to love.. and She was fantastic!! Until now.. well it seems she likes to roll to her stomach to sleep.. until tonight it was just in the early morning about 5:30Am she would wake up and realize she cannot roll over onto her back.. well tonight.. guess what.. on her stomach..
So mom is a little paranoid that she cannot breath though I can clearly see it on the monitor she is just fine.. or maybe it is some selfishness that is coming to play since I rather sleep than go upstairs and turn her over.. ; ) Jason says I am always the pessimistic.. so I guess we will see where the night leads us since she is already on her stomach.. sleep rolling instead of sleepwalking?? Can a mother hope.??
